Commissioned Canvases

A friend had a baby so another friend wanted a personal gift to give her. With her being an excellent photographer I wasn't short on photos to steal off her on Facebook but I'm sure she wouldn't mind :)

So I've started my Halloween costume...

Using some help from this page click here I used air dry modelling paste on a silicone mask. Hope it dries now, I must have picked the biggest workload of a costume this year! Starting the wig next, each piece seems so epically long but this mask was scaring me at the thought of doing it! The mouth looks huge in this photo but I think it's just the angle I was at!

A minion birthday cake

Hurrah, a cake where D & myself didn't nearly kill each other making it! He made the cake and I decorated it, Eli is on a despicable me kick at the minute so what's better than a minion cake! If I had a pallet knife I could have gotten cleaner lines but he loved it!

A halloween grey board duvet

I found a load of little Halloween pieces lying around while cleaning up so rather than finish cleaning I started crafting and made an even bigger mess! This is the Halloween version of the Christmas class I am holding next month in Athlone with Create with Kate CHA release party! Time to bring out Charles the Skeleton again (like he ever went away for the year!)

Some new stamps

I put an order in with http://www.inkylicious.co.uk and was so disappointed to find they didn't deliver to Ireland until D reminded me I could use Parcel Motel. I got some lovely stamps but had to try this one out straight away, I love the shadow effect. I distress inked some card and stamped the image on it. Mounted it on gold card and put a sentiment on it, tarrrr-darrrrr very easy card so I made 6 of them lol I feel I want to send cards to everyone for everthing this year, cards like "Thanks for giving me a pooper scooper when I ran out" stuff like that.....

Anniversary card

I needed to make a card for upcoming anniversary but my fingers kept sticking to everything so I had to keep covering it over with other bits...this card is heavy!!

New stamp- quick card makes!

I got a new pointy finger stamp today and had to stamp it asap as I got it! Topped with my PTI merci stamp I tried a few cards, always handy to have a few thank you cards knocking about!

Missing- a beautiful handmade card

Last seen last Wednesday as I posted it, 7x7 in a white envelope stamped with
my stamp and covered in washi tape. Maybe the postman decided it felt nice and didn't want to deliver it, maybe the €2 postage I put on it wasn't enough...maybe just maybe the post fairies got it. Either way a good card has gone down, so annoyed because wasn't too intricate but it took me ages. It's all handmade gelliplate paper and handcut shapes arrrgggg. Oh well....

Feeling Autumnyyyyy

Using the Tim Holtz tattered leaves die I rolled about 100 or so it felt like and spray them all beautiful Autumal colours. I stamped a few with script, scrunched a few and threw a few in the air just for the craic. Then I got on and made this hanging, using a branch that I mod podged all the bugs to it so they couldn't escape, just die slowly and leave their little buggy corpse in my art like the mosquito from Jurrasic Park. I then used fish gut to attach the leaves too, I tried glossy accents but it wasn't catching it and I was in no mood to burn myself with the glue gun so I used double sided tape and just pulled the white side off so you can't see it. Finished each end with a bead to weigh it down and you have a pretty festive hanging if I do say so

Let the Autumn fun not end there! I stuck some more leaves to my fishgut in a horizontal fashion and gave them a good old scrunch

Makes a beautiful decoration for over my craft table :)
