Mini Album- Playing catch up

I've had these photos building up for a while and wanted to do something special with them. I seem to be in a mad mini album rage these days, banging them out in a few hours because I know if I leave it I won't come back to it. I used the same accordion basis that I posted in the last post and with a few adjustments, I can see it very easy how each album can vary even with the same style.
I used Do-crafts Happy days 12x12 pack with a background of Kraft and some embellishments from an old Bo Bunny pack. Die envelopes are Papertrey Ink and I borrowed it off Emma at the weekend and must have rolled about 100 of them! Everything is coming in a little envelope from now on :)

P.S He who shall not be named videoed the first attempt....in camera mode so I sacked him and videoed it myself, pulling tags one handed is hard let me tell you!

Graphic 45 Album

I wanted to make an album for my friends babies who are one soon, so the perfect chance to buy and try graphic 45 ABC primer. I thought it was a little morbid (? strange word to describe it but it was for a baby album and seemed an odd choice) but after cutting it all up I think it worked :)
Excuse the bad videoing job....men eh? Now he wants to claim this as his own because he videoed it!
This is the tutorial I kind of used to make the bind, I say kind of because I didn't measure anything!!

Engagement card with a twist

I can't seem to make a straight forward card these days! It is for my sister who got engaged last week.
It's a card that opens up and has pockets on the inside to hold tags with questions on it like "How did he propose?" "How she said yes" "the ring" "1st plans" etc and left some spare ones so she can fill them in herself. And tada an engagement memory box

Sorry for the crappy photo, taken on the ipad at night doesn't make for good photos!

Stocking up my card pile

Tim Holtz Tree die embossed with a chequered die, hand cut hills and a PTI greeting stamp

PTI tree die and buttons, same as before. Waltzing mouse sentiment

A Rosie Posie PTI stamp (love this set!) and covered in glossy accents

My new waltzing mouse stamps, perfect for Eli scrapping and boys cards. I stamped a load out and coloured them in with watercolour pencils. Such a cute set and perfect for little boys!

Baby card & album-déjà vu

All my friends seem to be dropping babies like they are hot, so I've had to set up a baby card & present production line & make each of them different in some way!

The album is made from the new Papermania paper pack, I feel it's very retro & 1950's style but really versatile. The stamp is the same as before, coloured quickly with watercolour pencils.

My standard baby stamp layered up and mounted on some embossed paper. My poor cloud has seen better days I think!

Woo woo I'm published

I've never even had a LO published and now I have a full article in crafting Ireland. proud as punch!
Issue 11
(I'm on page 47 ish!)

Rainy, wet summer tag

While crafting yesterday with Anne (it was so nice to be responsibility free and drink my tea without random bits of plastic food being dunked in it) I found it hard to get down & actually do something. I made this tag just before I had to run off to reality again & just love this stamp, he looks like most of the people in Ireland looking out at the rain since..oh I don't know the 1800's. My fence pti die and new do crafts bunting stamp, love this :) the rest if the stamps are too floral for me but think the bunting is worth it! Tied with a strip of burlap, not as technique filled as I like but Percy cheered me up!

A baby girl card with a difference

Out of a cigar case of all things :) It's an altered version of an altered paper duvet... less grungey and more girly. I had to cover the health warning on the side with a strip of paper saying "welcome to the world" The card can be used as a name tag for a room which means it won't be thrown in a box (or well depending on how much the recipient likes it :) )

What's a smash book? I want one!

but I don't want to pay for one! So I made one, simples :)
Using a readers digest book I got from a charity shop but it stunk of smoke I took the pages out and used the cover. Reluctantly pulling out my bind it all (previous experiences have left me pulling out my hair and threatening to quit crafting) I decided to just use just one punch so I wouldn't have to line up the holes to repunch again, because I just don't do measuring!

Just one punch in the middle of the page, I cut pages so they were different sizes, lengths and added some envelopes too

I covered the inside of the book with some pretty paper

stuck the binded paper into the book and used a ribbon to hold it into place

I found a clever little tip to replicate calligraphy by writing the words in thin pen and with a thicker pen go over the lines that go down (try it out, it's easier than it sounds)

I added a pen pocket at the side of the paper and a piece of ric rak to hold the pen in, I'll probably use this for any crafty ideas, LO's I see or quotes. I have 3/4 books like this but maybe this one might inspire me to keep it order!
