Altered art book page

To draw you must close your eyes and sing. Mermaid is a downloaded image and I just drew in more hair and tail to help it blend in a bit. I gessoed the page first and then used my new watercolour crayons to get the background colour (need alot more practice with these!) and random stamps.Nothing special but it was nice to get my hands dirty :)

And Danbo was born

I was curious about a little amazon box turned into a robot I was seeing popping up on camera blogs, until I googled him & fell in love! I wasn't willing to pay the stupid price they were asking and found a tutorial here:

This isn't a quick project, don't be fooled!! Took me about 6 hours all in all but I was so determined to have my own Danbo I didn't mind :) except maybe having brain freeze in the middle and reading the English like it was Japanese, I don't do well with instructions!

His legs, I inked up the edges with TH Burlap to give it more dimension

This is around about where I felt like throwing it in...but wanting to see his little head kept me going

Poor Danbo is shy, I'll have to introduce him to everyone

Take my photo- journalling is about how I always take photos but  no one ever takes one of me unless it's a set up one and I always smile like a loon. Love this photo because it wasn't set up (but that's not saying I didn't shove the camera into D's hands!)

The TH dress form die with a bird cage dress and raffia bow

I made bunting out of circles folded in half over raffia, never thought of doing this before and would probably go smaller again. Think this was 1 1/2" circle.

Button heart card

Can't remember where I saw this but it was the last thing I saw last night and knew I had to try the button heart today. After having a boy I have an abundance of pink buttons and what a great way to use them!  Nice and easy, just have to find someone to give it to!

Dress form card

Mr Tim's dress form die I cut while at Cathy's die. Seriously am tempted to buy it :) I had so much fun sowing the tiny dress together, think I missed my calling to be a barbie dress designer

Quick cards

A circle cut in half with some hand cut sails, my fav PTI cloud die and PTI baby sayings. This card took me less than 2 minutes :)

Sheesh like Lou, get a new paper stack. This is one of my first stacks but I still love it even though it's been used to death!

Emma's PTI stars and I really wish I didn't chomp the corner of that star off, it looks so sad now!

Baby LO

Me and my childhood dog Laddie, he never left my side and there's a few photos with him tipping me off chairs, prams and beds :)

Man I love those feet, tiny little toes that never stop kicking and especially since they found out that they can kick the keyboard *sigh Looks like I will have to post at 4am to make any sense now

Butterfly LO

Just when the caterpillar thought the world was over, it became a butterfly

A beautiful tag Emma gave to me and I didn't know what to do with it. Not that I'm saying Eli looked caterpillar like when he was born (He looked many things but not really caterpillic) but it's a lovely thought because I think he has really blossomed the last month. Such a cute lil smiler, never fails to make me smile

Bandanna bibs

I loved the ones Eli had and since he started drooling/teething more he needed some more.  Alot of work IMO and I probably wouldn't do it again. Got the material in a cute little material shop in Galway which does great retro materials and patterns.

Bebe cool

All set up to scrap, inks out, paper laid out, in the right frame of mind...no photos *ughhh

So a scrap session cut short. Searched everywhere for inspiration and in the end I just laid pieces out without a sketch. The camera washed it out a bit because it was nearly dusk and my crap photo editing did nothing to help. Half of The Book of Eli-Chapter 2 is nearly full now and that's only since January...Better slow down

Scrap that baby Challenge

Scrap your ultrasound...since I have over 30 scan pictures it was hard to choose but I like this one because it was before all the trouble and it brightens up my hall as an altered canvas :)

Green LO's

Master Eli feel asleep for 45 minutes so speed scrapping again! Never even noticed I used 2 green cardstock but love the colour of it, very springy even though I am not a green person! It's getting hard to think of ways to put journalling into Eli's monthly LO, really have to see if I can off load him on Nanny for the day so I don't have to panic scrap!

Baby tag blanket and card

Since I had alot of pink scraps for a baby quilt which I don't know when I'll get to use it so made a comforter for a friend who had a baby girl. Of course no pattern, just went for it so its a lil crooked!

finished grunge board duvet

I started 8 months ago and got to finish it at the wrekend, only ended up making 3 tiles & mounted on canvas but I'm really happy with it, def a labour of love :) great idea to showcase techniques you learn so you don't forget them!

remote caddy

Does your husband have a million remotes and controllers? As I was sorting the couch out one morning & knocked myself in the face with a controller as it flew through the air I vowed to make him something! mod podged together & lost & found stack used, both I have used so much this year it's ridiculous!

Emma gave me a get well present of a tk maxx pack which have some gorgeous papers in it from American crafts & gave my mojo a bit of a toe up the bum! seriously was in no mood to scrap & my titles are getting lamer but I reaaaally wanted to do something!

Eli LO-there's a suprise

Premmie T-shirts

The amount of people on the street who think it is ok to come up and admire a baby while trying to grab their hands or stroke baby's face. I find myself pulling away alot and since it was drummed into us to wash, scrub and gel in SCBU, it's hard not to imagine the amount of germs on peoples hand's from just doing day to day activities so sorry my baby doesn't want to be part of your germ fest (Can you tell this happened yesterday and still shocked that someone tried to put their FINGER in his mouth because he was teething) His next t-shirt will be "Got Sanitizer Bitch? No then walk away"

Stamped with Staz on, can't imagine it will handle many washes let alone one but we'll see :)
