Ducka Walks

Ducka Walks is what we call our trip to the woods, it usually consists of Eli sitting on this tree trunk and grinning like a loon before trying to jump in after the ducks. Never a dull day in the Fufu house.

When you have a fussy underweight child whose weight is not even on the charts for his height you are happy when he eats anything....even if it is a coffee mocha cupcake :)

I finally found somewhere in town that prints 3x2 photos, since my kodak printer died I had no way of printing unusual sizes. 

Well needless to say he ate the bun...paper and all

Paper is some old basic grey and echo park and jillybean letters.

Smash*ing fun

What's another way to spend my money & torment myself for not having enough time to do it? Smash* books ticked all that criteria. Really haven't a clue what I'm doing but it's fun to smush everything in :) I did a swap recently with Aideen who was very generous starting me off my smash stash. I decided the theme of the book should be a time capsule do I'm taking a capture of the fufu's in 2012!

Don't craft while hot & angry

2nd altered canvas

I painted the edges blue with Tim Holtz blue paint dabber than added heavy gesso. I pulled it across then canvas with a card then added splashes of blue paint. Stamped some background stamps into the heavy areas of gesso to add some depth. The photo's again are from her engagement photoshoot and without wanting to go too soppy, I don't know how soppy of a couple they are. I used the quote "Where there is love, there is life" very handy I found some old stamps of love and life-score! 

The curse of mod podge struck with the green sheet, I thought it was thicker and could take it but it couldn't and buckled noooooooooooooooooo, I am offically out of double sided tape so nothing else can be done because I'm so annoyed at the crinkles. The photo emphasises it but my perfectionist side is twitching wildy, I know better than to say it to her when I give her these because that's all she will be able to see I'm sure. But all in all, I'm happy with the way they came out and hope she doesn't shove them into the downstairs loo lol

Sizzlix

After waiting so long for it and then buying the alphabet cutter (that didn't fit might I add, follow a 2 week wait while waiting for an adapter from ebay) for my sizzlix.... its such a pain in the ass!! I feel like a monkey turning my jack in the box, so while I am doing it I keep cringing thinking something is going to pop out and frighten the life outta me! Anywho, I spent a few hours Sunday cutting different colour alphabets out ( I had himself eating tictacs for the last week so I could use the containers, he now has diabetes), hunched over the table and looking for each individual letter was paaaaaainnnful! Maybe I would be just cutting as I need and I thought I was being self-suficient!
I tried my first 2 page LO because I couldn't fit the photos all on one page and I think I might do a few more, it was great fun and I love the look of it *tooot tooot (me blowing my own horn!)
